Elm Tree quiz with a difference last night. One messes with a proven format at one’s peril. But the combination of Backwards Day being this week and my being in denial about having a significant birthday meant that, as a one-off, the quiz was run backwards, starting with the General Knowledge Round and ending with the Word Round; and all with a backwards-ish theme.  (Online version however follows the normal order.)

Scoring was very tight : 32, 32, 31, 30, 29, 28 … With Anthony’s team pipping Eve’s on the tie break by marginally better knowledge of when the Venus de Milo was dug up by a Greek farmer (1820).
