More consistent scoring last night with top scores of 31, 30, 30, 29, 28 and a stunning full house (very rare) on the GK round from John’s team taking them from surprise second-last contenders to joint second in one giant leap.

Heads up for next week. Despite their best (or worst) efforts, England are somehow still in the Euros. If they qualify for the semi-finals, they will be playing next Wednesday evening, coinciding with the quiz. Despite the fact that we had the slot booked first, past experience tells us that competing with tournament football can be tricky.

If England don’t qualify, then the quiz will of course take place as usual.

If England do qualify, Scott and I will take a view after Saturday’s game and post news on this website and the pub’s Facebook page etc.
